3 Min. Reading time:

From A to B. But how?

Ultimately, it’s always about getting data from A to B correctly and reliably. In reality, however, there are other customer requirements: Influence, co-design options, investment security, contract design (licenses), ecology and economy, monitoring, data throughput or performance. This is understandable, as a company’s most important logistical processes and significant turnover are usually realized via EDI data.

These requirements can be met using the appropriate EDI cloud models.

The right aurebus EDI cloud model for every use case

With all EDI cloud models, we guarantee maximum cost efficiency, unlimited scalability and flexibility, fast implementation for immediate success, round-the-clock reliability and the highest security standards and compliance.

1. EDI Full Service Cloud (shared) – Standard model

The cloud hardware is available for several customers and the components are used simultaneously by several customers to conserve resources. Within a shared virtual network, the storage areas for our customers are of course technically separated from each other.

Included services: Documentation of the technical partner connections including technical contact data, message format descriptions, dashboard with insight into all processes as well as source and target files.

The EDI software usage license is for rent and is charged pro rata with a basic fee per month. Further billing is based on transactions per month. The price scales with the transaction volume.

2. EDI Full Service Cloud (dedicated) – more individuality

The cloud hardware is dedicated to one customer and the components are only used by one customer. The infrastructure is located in a shared virtual network. The storage area is reserved exclusively and can be expanded (or reduced) as required by the customer.

Included services: Documentation of the technical partner connections including technical contact data, message format descriptions, dashboard with insight into all processes as well as source and target files.

The EDI software usage license is for rent and is charged pro rata with a basic fee per month. Additional costs are incurred for the dedicated hardware components provided. Further billing is based on transactions per month. The price scales with the transaction volume.

3. EDI Hybrid Full Service Cloud (dedicated) – complete independence / no vendor lock-in

A separate encapsulated system: The cloud hardware is dedicated to one customer and the components are only used by one customer. The infrastructure is located in a separate virtual network. The storage area is reserved exclusively and can be expanded (or reduced) as required by the customer. This model can also be operated as an iPaaS model.

Services included: Documentation of the technical partner connections including technical contact data, message format descriptions, dashboard with insight into all processes as well as source and target files.

The EDI software license is provided to the customer at 100%. It is charged via a one-off, initial license fee plus annual software maintenance. Additional costs are incurred for the dedicated hardware components and for monitoring and maintenance of the server and EDI software.

Special feature: maximum flexibility and independence – if the contract is terminated, the customer can take over both the hardware and the functional EDI software, including all configuration settings, EDI mappings and firewall settings, and manage and expand them themselves. The transition is seamless.

One solution: individual cloud model

In more than 20 years, we have not only implemented a wide variety of EDI landscapes, but have also experienced over many years that requirements in different areas (technology, organization) change over time. With increasing technologization, changes come faster and faster. Our solution for this in the cloud subscription area are individual design options in the EDI cloud model.

Unique: maximum security and without any vendor lock-in

With aurebus, you can even take over a fully managed, complete EDI infrastructure including hardware, network, firewall, software licenses, program source codes and documentation yourself with the cloud model “EDI Hybrid Full Service Cloud“.
