Supplier Integration in the EDI Cloud

The comTeam Business Solutions GmbH is a subsidiary of the Duesseldorf-based trading company ElectronicPartner. With approximately 200 connected suppliers sending their documents directly into the system and serving about 2000 connected customers (invoice recipients), they handle a document volume of approximately 3000 items per day.

ElectronicPartner is one of the largest trading companies in Europe for entertainment and household electronics, IT/multimedia, and telecommunications. The group includes approximately 2,800 members nationwide in Germany, such as EP:Fachhaendler, MEDIMAX specialty stores, and the technology network comTeam. They all support ElectronicPartner in daily operations, including assortment planning, marketing concepts, and store construction. The company is also active internationally, with subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and as a member of the E-Square trading alliance. In 2022, ElectronicPartner celebrated its 85th anniversary, achieving a total revenue of 1.4 billion euros in 2021.

Since 2013, comTeam Business Solutions GmbH has been part of the group, specializing in business solutions such as ELOprofessional, offering nationwide service and the reliability of a strong network. The managing directors are Sven Glatter and Matthias Assmann.

One branch focuses on myDMScloud, a document management system for the entire ElectronicPartner group. With approximately 200 connected suppliers sending their documents directly into the system and serving about 2,000 connected customers (invoice recipients), we handle a document volume of approximately 3,000 items per day.

Invoice Formats

Here, various file formats are processed (PDF, ZUGFeRD, XML, EDI, etc.). Our requirement is to integrate a structured invoice data format, which may vary depending on the partner, quickly and seamlessly into our innovative DMS system, and additionally convert it into PDFs. Data transmission also utilizes various common EDI communication protocols. Therefore, it is crucial for us to partner with a company that has core competencies in EDI and integration technologies and can respond quickly and flexibly to e-invoicing requirements.
